Introducing Lord Deathington and Smithy
So… This is a present I doodled for my dear friend Dave. We came up with these characters one morning after a night of debauchery and whatnot. We awoke from our slumber upon another friend’s floor and stumbled out onto the streets of our fair city. We had tea and coffee in a cafe. We then went for smoothies to ease our noodled noggins. So, high on fructose, we decided to go to an art gallery! Where we saw a painting by Jack B Yeats that quite tickled our fancy. It showed a very pallid gentleman standing beside a table in a fine room decorated with many paintings. “What a creepy fellow”, we mused. We dubbed him Lord Deathington and decided that all the paintings in the background were of ladies he had seduced and then murdered. Nearby there was a painting of a man digging in a field who we decided was Smithy the gravedigger. We then had much fun of the bad pun variety making up little stories about dear Deathington.
Good news everyone!
Life is bleedin deadly again! I’m working on a picture right now for a dear friend of mine. It’s quite silly. I’ll post it and an explanation of it in a few days. I’d like to give it to my buddy before it goes online though so as not to ruin the surprise!
Lack of comic updating apologies
I want to say sorry for the hype with no delivery. Things have happened that I don’t want to be drawing and keeping reminders of. There are a good few days drawn but they’re tied up with the things I don’t want to be thinking about and I’ve decided I don’t want to put them online.
Apologies again for not uploading. Maybe I’ll get back to it soon enough when things are looking a bit nicer.
If anyone needs me, I’ll be on the roof yelling at the universe for being a jerk.
White Rabbits!
September is upon us. Let the hourly comicking begin! Now, before all one of my readers gets excited, I won’t be uploading these first few days until Monday or Tuesday because I’m not going to home until then and won’t be able to scan them. However, to make up for this, I’m going to be at a festival so at the very least I can promise you progressively odder hourly observations as the nights progress (hopefully!).
Until then, dear reader(s?)!
All Systems Go!
Hello hello. I did a test run day on Saturday (midnight to midnight). The scanner makes different noises than it used to. Here they are.
It’s been a while
I’m starting hourlies again on the first of September. They’ll be posting onto this blog for now. However, once I have the money for hosting and whatnot, I’ll be getting a proper site up with a less awful layout. Much hooraying!
I will do a test run for a day before then probably, mostly for Matthew because he asked nicely but also to see that the scanner is working, etc, and as a kind of better explanation of what I’m doing for people who haven’t read them before.
That’s all for now!
How are you?
I am ok. Sick of college but it’s nearly over. Huzzah! It keeps me awake for an unnaturally long time most days. So I want to have something else to do that is entirely pointless. As such, hourly comics start at midnight tonight (1 May). See you all then.
My exams are over!!!!!!
Right, sorry I haven’t uploaded since the 13th. Quite shocking. I now have as far as the 23rd updated. I can’t take any more scanning right now so I’ll get the rest up later or tomorrow.
I blame the weather…
Sorry about the three day delay there, the internet went funny in the weather. This country completely grinds to a halt with a mild sprinkling of snow. Seems to be working ok now so I should be back to updating every day at some time as per usual.
Old hourlies…
I’m probably going to take down all the hourlies before 2010 for neatness’ sake until I get a proper site and can make everything pretty. I’ll leave them up for a few more days anyhoo. 1st to 3rd of January are up now, waaaay down the end on the right.
